YouTube Channel

A YouTube channel has been created for Random Cache where you can find videos for Network Traveler. The videos will often be embedded in posts on this site but if you want to keep up to date each time a video is added you can subscribe at the at Random Cache's YouTube page.

Its time to return to Network Traveler! I've been doing some playing around with the Oculus Rift and working on some game demos and I am ready to bring Rift functionality to Network Traveler and continue development.
Get your accounts ready because you will soon be traveling the virtual world in a networked reality.

Creation of Blog Posts

I have built myself a quick utility in order to add new blog posts quickly and easily so I do not need to enter any code or databases to make a new post.
Comment System Completed

The comment systems has been fully implemented with the ability to add comments to any post.
Functionality has also been added to display only the first five comments if there are a multitude of comments for a single post and to show the additional comments by clicking the See More button.
Finally there is also the ability to delete a comment you may have made in the past.

I have done some work this morning to make sure each post is saved to a database and loaded dynamically rather than all posts being hardcoded to the Main page.
I have also added a comment button that will be visible to users who are logged in. Please log in to see if you can see the comment button.
The button does not have any true function yet but I will save a few sample comments to the database and then enable the comment button to actually allow you to type a few words and then have them saved and displayed beneath the post.
Any comments that you currently see are just placeholder data.
Set up of Blog Posts

This site will be your window into the world of Network Traveler.
The site is divided up into pages for each section of development. The pages to be included are listed below.
- Main
- World
- Characters
- Models
- Menus
Each page should be set up like a blog site with posts for each update to the pages or section. These posts should have the feature to be commented on. In order to comment you will need to have an account. Without an account you have access to visit every page on the site. What you will not be able to do without an account is view your specific characters. An example of this is displayed below.
